Woah, the title is a mouthful.
Samsung is holding this “Ultimate Test Drive” where they send you one of their flagship devices to use for one month. You might be wondering, what’s the catch? Only $1! I went ahead and chose the Galaxy Edge S6 Edge+ because it would be great to compare against my iPhone 6s Plus.
When I first got it, I was actually shocked that I liked the device. I have always hated Android, absolutely hated it. The S6 Edge+ (I think) ran Android 5.1.1 Lolipop. Although the software isn’t great, it has definitely improved in the past few years.
Originally I had planned to replace my iPhone for the whole month I had the Galaxy, but after using it for a day it just didn’t feel natural. I did have problems with the software, it froze on my a few times and it just wasn’t me.
The design of the S6 Edge+ almost resembles the iPhone 6s with the different color bands, the bottom speaker grill, the connector and aux port. The build quality was also alright. Not the best, just alright.
TL;DR The S6 Edge+ isn’t a bad device, it just isn’t for me. Android isn’t the best, the device build quality is alright, and I couldn’t see myself replacing my iPhone any time soon.
